Just got back from a lovely stay at Hotel Locarno, We booked as a late break away and so did not read reviews or research the hotel, when we arrived we were surprised at how close the hotel was to the promenade , the hotel is situated in an ideal spot with metro stations just around the corner to commute around the city or walk along the promenade.
The Hotel is clean and well looked after and the staff were all friendly and helpful, our room had a balcony where we could sit and watch the sun rise and fall and look out onto the streets below with a view of the sea.
The bathroom was large with a large walk in shower, and room equipped with tea/coffee making facilities.
The beds were changed and made daily and bed very comfortable.
I would definitely reccomend the hotel to friends and family and hopefully will return soon.
We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Locarno! The service is second to none - even by comparison to many other 5-star hotels we have stayed at. In particular Riccardo at the front desk was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and even managed to book us into restaurants that people were lining up hours for. The decor of the hotel is stunning, and the breakfast was also fantastic.
Overall the service and all round feel of the hotel is second to none, and the attention to detail by staff was unbelievable. We will definitely be staying here again!

The two women running the restaurant, and the young gentlemen helping them were incredibly kind and diligent. David at the front desk was very helpful. The breakfast included was very good, and way better than most hotels.

My second time staying at Hotel Locarno and it just gets better and better. Have to give. A shoutout to the amazing concierge/front desk team who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, including sending a special cake for my birthday. The hotel is located in the best spot (especially if you are looking to shop or explore Villa Borghese). The bar has a great aperitivo and vibe and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable.
Just left the hotel today… Can only say that I already miss it! Staff were very kind and helpful at all times, quiet hotel, lovely vintage decorations, you really feel like you are in Rome.
Breakfast was delicious and the bed… might be the best bed I have ever slept in, also very clean! 10/10 definitely coming back
My husband and I had a great time staying at Locarno. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy breakfast or a drink. There is also a great terrace. The hotel is situated on a quiet street that is a 10 min walk to the Spanish Steps and shopping.
WOW. This hotel is a GEM. The staff are so friendly and fun! They also surprised my husband and I by upgrading us to a suite for our honeymoon. And this suite was EPIC -- I was speechless! I've never stayed in such a gorgeous space and we felt extremely grateful for their generosity. This hotel is like stepping back into an old Hollywood romance. It is classic, timeless, and has so many unique details. They have a beautiful bar with delicious cocktails -- perfect after a long day of trekking around Rome! The food is also worth mentioning -- it's innovative and tasty. The location is great as well and we were able to easily walk to all of our destinations. We definitely plan on coming back someday!
